At Zogo, we are saddened and outraged by the death of George Floyd at the hands of the police, alongside all other victims of racial injustice in this country, including Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, Ahmaud Arbery, Trayvon Martin, Sandra Bland, Eric Garner, Michael Brown, Philando Castile, Tamir Rice and so many others whose stories remain untold.

Zogo stands in solidarity with demonstrators across the country. To match our words with action, this week our company will be donating a portion of profits to the Black Visions Collective, which works to dismantle systems of oppression and violence and develop emerging Black leadership in Minnesota.

At Zogo, we work to ensure that young people across the country are able to build a secure, successful future for themselves. For too many Americans, this possibility is obstructed by our country’s racially oppressive system, which threatens the futures of many of the individuals who worked to build its infrastructure. The world will not be equal for everyone until we all work actively to examine our own prejudices, dismantle this system and support those who have been silenced. We at Zogo recognize that the financial freedom we work to promote is inextricably linked with and rooted in the fight for racial liberation.

The team at Zogo will be taking on this work as individuals — and as an organization, we’ll keep working to build a better and more equitable financial world for all people.

Stand up. Speak out. Take action. We’re with you.

Sincerely,

The team at Zogo
