Disney + 6 Feet

by | May 11, 2020

Let’s get down to business. After three and a half months of closure following the initial outbreak of the Covid-19 coronavirus, Shanghai Disneyland has reopened its doors to visitors. However, not everything at the theme park looks the same as it did before.

Normally, the park has a capacity of 80,000 people and 12,000 employees. But for reopening day on May 11, the cast members far outnumbered the guests, who were at less than 30% capacity. It’s safer, and the lines are a lot shorter!

Please keep your hands inside the ride…and 6ft away: Visitors to Shanghai Disneyland are now required to wear masks, have their temperatures taken and socially distance.

Plus, floor markers indicating safe social distancing have been placed in queues for rides and attraction entrances.

The park’s opening on Monday is a step toward Disney restarting one of its biggest moneymakers after losing $1.4 billion amid the coronavirus pandemic. And the grand re-opening was Poppins. Tickets quickly sold out online for the opening day, and are currently sold out for a few days after that.
