Running for president won’t be Yeezy

On Saturday night, rapper icon Kanye West announced that he’s “running for president” in the 2020 election.

However, there is no evidence West has a campaign organization, nor is there any indication he has filed papers with the Federal Election Commission. Most likely, West has no intention of actually running for president.

West tweeted his presidential plans days after teasing a new song and announcing a new album titled “God’s Country.” It’s probable that Kanye made the announcement in order to help promote his new album.

And it’s working. The story was trending on Twitter and the announcement has been retweeted more than 500,000 times. All this publicity will be great for West’s album sales.
