(HBO) Max out your credit card

by | May 27, 2020

Finished Netflix? Need something else to watch? HBO Max, the HBO -plus-other-stuff streaming service from WarnerMedia Entertainment, is finally stepping out into the streaming wars battlefield.

At $14.99 per month, HBO Max is pretty expensive compared to its streaming rivals, Netflix and Disney+. But on the other hand, you’re getting HBO, plus a whole bunch of extra content, for the exact same price as an HBO subscription.

Careful! Don’t confuse the new HBO Max with: HBO (the channel), HBO Go (the streaming service offered through your TV provider), or HBO Now (the streaming service).

  • Pro tip: HBO Now customers with existing accounts will be grandfathered into the new HBO Max at no extra cost

HBO Max is launching with 10,000 hours of movies and TV, including existing shows like “Friends,” “The Big Bang Theory,” the new version of “Doctor Who,” and “The Bachelor.”

It also has newer movies like “Crazy Rich Asians,” “A Star is Born,” “Aquaman” and “Joker.”

And if you’re a superhero fan, it’s got every DC film from the last decade, including “Wonder Woman” and “Justice League.”
