Kohl’s is better positioned than some of its department store peers to emerge from the coronavirus pandemic and draw customers back to shop, according to its CEO.
Why, you ask? It boils down, in large part, to real estate.
Kohl’s operates more than 1,100 locations — many of which are situated within open-air shopping centers, alongside nail salons, grocery stores, and local eateries.
Analysts are predicting consumers will be wary of returning to enclosed shopping malls in a post-Covid-19 world, but will be more likely instead to venture to shops that are easily accessible by car, such as Kohl’s.
It seems Kohl’s will soon be doing better in the profit department.
If everything goes as planned, about 25% of Kohl’s stores will be open by next week.
So wear a mask, stay 6 feet apart, and hurry in before your Kohl’s cash expires!
